If you struggle to believe that God is close or cares for you, perhaps you need this reminder as well. The truth of this verse has gone deep into my heart and changed me.
“He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.” 2 Samuel 22:20
I knew that God loved me. He’s God and He loves the whole world. But I didn’t realize that He delighted in me until a few years ago. That truth changes the way I think of myself and others.
God isn’t obligated to love you. He chooses to pursue you. He made you. And you (not the good things you do) bring him delight. That is also true about everyone you will bump into today. God delights in you. Dare to believe it. – Sandi
