Have you ever embarrassed yourself by the way you acted or talked? I’m asking for a friend! Of course you have. It is a recurring behavior for me.
“Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.” Philippians 1: 27
Whatever. Happens. The good, the bad, the unexpected. The unfair. It will happen. The “whatever” bucket is big enough for everything that may come our way. When it does come (whatever it is) we have an opportunity to reflect Christ to a watching world.
Our words. Our actions. Our responses. When guided by and surrendered to the Holy Spirit, our reactions are God-honoring. We won’t always get it right, but I pray that the next time “whatever” happens, we will respond in a Spirit-led way that surprises even us.
The only way God comes out when we’re squeezed is if God is going in when we’re not. So, let’s give Him full reign in our minds and hearts today. Whatever. – Sandi
