Is there a persistent voice trying to convince you that you’re on the outside looking in at God’s goodness? Is there a gnawing feeling that something bad is just around the corner? How do I know? Because the father of lies whispers in my ear as well.
“The Lord is good, and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through every generation.” (Psalm 100:5)
God is good. If I’m honest, I often evaluate His “goodness” on a sliding scale. What has He done for me lately? Am I having a good day? What kind of mood am I in? Those perceptions have no bearing on His unchanging goodness. He is good. That attribute is part of His divine nature. As you sort through any changing, swirling thoughts, I pray that you have an unshakeable confidence in your faithful Father! He is still good. – Sandi
