Some of my sweetest “mama” memories are putting my three kids to sleep. I would sing to them as I rocked them each night before bedtime. A worship song. A lullaby. A silly song I made up just for them. It was our time. They would relax and eventually drift off to sleep. I can only imagine what they felt as their eyes closed. Safe. Loved. Secure.
“The Lord your God is with you; He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17
Can you picture it? Your Father scoops you up in His arms and sings over you. Songs of peace. You feel seen, loved and safe. Your fears calm down and you experience true rest and peace. That isn’t simply a sweet picture, but it is His heart for you. God is with you, takes great delight in you and is full of joy as He sings over you. So, rest. – Sandi
