You can be honest. With yourself. And with God. It is good for your soul!
“How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart?…Look on me and answer O Lord my God…I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, for He has been good to me.” Psalm 13:2-6
If you wrestle with anxiety or discouragement, you can be honest with God about it. Cry out to Him. That’s why I love reading the Psalms…David is so transparent and honest about his fear, his pain, and His dependence on a God that never let’s go.
God honors your wrestling. He has compassion for your distress. Be honest. Even when you’re hurting. Sing, even when you’re doubting. And listen for an honest response from the One who never let’s go. He is with you in the wrestling.- Sandi
