“If God is good, why does He allow suffering?” Have you wondered that, as well?
I don’t have all the answers…but I have seen God work even through times of suffering. Some of my darkest seasons have also been when the presence of God has been most evident to me. He can use difficult seasons to work good outcomes.
“We rejoice in our sufferings because suffering produces perseverance which produces character which produces hope.” Romans 5:3
You can trust God with your suffering. You can trust that He is intentionally working IN your life and IN your circumstances for His glory. And you can trust that He is producing perseverance and character and hope in your life…all GOOD things from a GOOD God.
We may not rejoice BECAUSE of our sufferings…..but we can rejoice IN our sufferings….because God is in them with us and He’s working through them for good. May you get a glimpse of Him working, even if you’re walking in the dark. –Sandi
