I got really honest with God a few weeks ago and admitted what he already knew: That my joy was depleted, and I was discouraged. I didn’t hear his voice, but He lovingly reminded me that my joy is directly related to the time spent with Him, and that had been neglected.
“In His presence is fullness of joy…” Psalm 16:11
My joy wasn’t full because I missed my Father. The joy that He gives isn’t replaceable with other things. Even good things. There is a fullness of contentment, peace, and joy that only comes from spending time with Him and His Word.
