When I grow up, I want these 3 words to define my life: Joyful. Patient. Faithful.
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction and faithful in prayer.” Romans 12:12
That “to do” list seems daunting. I can’t muster up those qualities in my life. But notice that the verse doesn’t say to do. It says to “be.” There is a way that we can be growing in those areas. Go to the source. When the Holy Spirit has more control of my life than I do, I will be more joyful, patient, and faithful.
