Letting go is so difficult. A dream, a desire, a passion, a relationship…..letting go of anything you love is so painful. It can feel unfair. Why am I being asked to let go? Jesus understands the struggle.
“Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.” Matthew 26:39
Jesus suffered long before the cross. He knew the cost in surrendering to God’s will. It was painful. But He wanted God’s will and was willing to let go of everything else. If you’re being asked to let go of something or someone today, I pray that God comforts you as you surrender to His will. Your letting go is really a matter of letting God.
