How could David stand so confidently in front of the giant, when he hadn’t read the David and Goliath story? We KNOW how the story ends. David didn’t. All he knew was how tall the giant was….and one more thing:
“It is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s….” 1 Samuel 17:47
David knew that God is faithful. He knew that he wasn’t alone in battle because God fights for us. That is how David could face the giant. His confidence was well placed. You do not need to fear today. It doesn’t matter how big the giant in your life is. God is faithful, He is with you and the battle is His. Stand in confidence today.
