Something happens when you spend time with Jesus. You fall more and more in love with Him. And you become more like Him.
“The Lord said, ‘My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.’ And Moses said, ‘If your presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.’” Exodus 33:14-15
Moses desired one thing above everything else. To be with God. He had spent enough time in God’s presence to know that nothing else compares.
Rest. Peace. Comfort. Joy. They are all found when we spend time with our Father. Something happens when we spend time with Jesus. We’re changed. Hope comes. Fear fades.
We’re bombarded messages of “busy” every day. But we’re also invited into His presence. Not to check it off of a religious “to do” list. But because we need Him. He loves us. And something happens that can’t be manufactured any other way.
May God give us a renewed passion for His presence. May we desire nothing more than time with our Father. – Sandi
