I was having lunch with a friend recently and I said, “I want you to know that NOTHING will ever threaten our friendship. Nothing. Ever. We’re not going to let that happen.” We committed to weather the stuff of this world together. Period.
“Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves.”
Romans 12: 10
Why does God challenge us in this way? Because it is His nature. And because there is no more powerful to way to point people to Jesus than humbly honoring them. I imagine we will have opportunities to walk this out today…or not. I pray that those closest to us know that we’re on their side no matter what. It takes work and humility to foster relationships. But the reward is so rich. – Sandi
