“What is hope?” I was asked that recently by someone who said she was afraid to hope because it always led to disappointment. She continued, “I’ve prayed for an outcome for over 13 years, and it hasn’t happened yet. Why should I still have hope?”
“Those who hope in me will not be disappointed.” Isaiah 49:23
I find myself doing it too. Placing my hope in outcomes more than in Jesus. God doesn’t always work in the way or the timing that I want. Sometimes He says no. Or wait. He may not respond as I think He should. But He is the only One that I place my hope and trust in. Because He is good and He is faithful.
The day will come when we see and understand fully. And we will not be disappointed. – Sandi
