Why pray? Does your mind ever come up with questions like: “Why should I pray?…God already knows what He’s going to do.” Or, “I already prayed about that, what good will it do to pray again? “
Do you know that Jesus prayed the exact same prayer three times before He went to the cross?
“..Not as I will, but your will be done…He went away and prayed the third time, saying the same thing.” Matthew 26:39,44
Jesus understood prayer. And I want to learn from Him. Prayer isn’t merely when I ask God for outcomes. It isn’t about “seeing results.” Jesus’ prayers were about spending time with His Father. Intentional surrender. Heart and soul preparation for what was ahead. Why should we pray? For the same reasons. “God, help me surrender to your will. Your way, not mine. I trust you.” – Sandi
