I worry. About it all. But if I’m honest, I worry that I don’t take “worry” as seriously as I should. Worry is a thief. It robs us of time and joy. And worry can dull our hearts to God.
“Some people are like seed along the path, where the Word is sown….but they are overwhelmed with worries. The stress strangles what they heard, and nothing comes of it.” Mark 4:15,19
I think the enemy has packaged “worry” in a way that disguises its real impact. When worry wins, there’s no room for God’s Word to take root in our minds. And when that happens, faith and hope are completely crowded out of the picture.
When God says, “Don’t worry,” He is trying to protect our hearts. I know the struggle is real. But don’t let worry win. God is faithful. And worry is a thief. – Sandi
