If life had a score book, how are you doing? On most days, in most ways, I feel like I’m barely keeping my head above water. How about you? Do you feel like you’re winning in life?
“…We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” Romans 8:37
I’m tempted to read this verse and feel like I’m on the “outside” looking in at it. It paints a picture….a victorious one…that I may not see playing out in my life. What do you do with this verse if you don’t feel like a conqueror?
You remember who is fighting for you and what you are fighting for. You cling to the truth that He has already won. He sits on the throne. And we aren’t fighting for victories this side of heaven. We’re fighting for more. For eternity.
We face our battles with the One who has already WON. And we have already received more than we deserve….forgiveness and relationship with the King.
You may be facing a battle today. It is real. But so is the victory. You are more than a conqueror. You’re a friend and child of the undefeated King. – Sandi
