Safe Families for Children seeks to bring the church and community together to keep children safe and families together. Safe Families for Children is rooted in faith, fueled by radical hospitality, disruptive generosity, and intentional compassion, to build a network of caring and compassionate volunteers to support families facing social isolation. There are three main roles within Safe Families.
Host Families: Temporarily host children in your home while their biological parent manages a crisis.
Family Friend: Supporting host families who are caring for children by offering babysitting or transportation. Family Friends can also connect with parents in crisis by mentoring, helping with resource connections, or just being a listening ear.
Resource Friend: Providing goods and tangible items to host families or parents in crisis like diapers, meals, clothes…etc.
